Clinical Laser Therapy with Candela™

AGE SPOT & PIGMENT REMOVAL – CLINICAL LASER

Medical Laser Therapy, also known as Advanced Pigment & Vascular Clearance, is a high-performance clinical treatment designed to safely target and eliminate stubborn skin imperfections at their source. At Daisy Dermal Clinic, we utilize the world-leading Candela™ laser technology to deliver precision results with maximum safety.

How It Works:

Using highly targeted, medical-grade wavelengths of light, we safely bypass the surface to reach the deeper layers of your skin. This controlled light energy is absorbed directly by unwanted melanin (dark spots) or damaged blood vessels (redness), physically shattering the pigment and collapsing the broken capillaries. Unlike standard surface treatments, our clinical approach works from the inside out, allowing your body’s natural immune system to clear away the damage and restore a flawless, even-toned complexion.

The Clinical Benefits:

• Age spots and sun damage
• Freckles and localized pigmentation
• Broken capillaries and spider veins
• Diffuse redness and Rosacea management
• Uneven skin tone and dullness
• Facial and body hair reduction

Elevate Your Results

CLINICAL LED THERAPY (+$90)

A medical-grade light treatment utilizing specific wavelengths to support your skin’s biological repair. It works at a cellular level to boost energy, reduce inflammation, and stimulate high-quality collagen production.

This ritual enhances outcomes by accelerating recovery after. It minimizes downtime, leaving your complexion calm, bright, and visibly rejuvenated.

• Best for: Enhancing results and calming reactive skin.

CALMING HYDROJELLY™ INFUSION (+$80)

A clinical-grade, electrolyte-infused mask that creates a vacuum seal over your skin.

This ritual instantly drops the skin temperature to calm redness and infuse intense hydration. It forces the active serums deeper into the dermis while giving you a luminous, Red Carpet glow before you even leave the clinic.

Best for: Sensitive skin and event preparation.

BRIGHTENING REPAIR BOOSTER (+$50)

A targeted clinical infusion of Circadia’s Vitamin C and Tyrosinase inhibitors applied with a Cryo-Ice Globe massage. This potent antioxidant blend acts as a biological shield against rebound pigmentation, while the soothing cold therapy instantly constricts blood vessels to reduce redness and post-laser heat.

Best for: Preventing post-treatment darkening and achieving a superior even-toned complexion.

THE CANDELA RECOVERY PHASE

At Daisy Dermal Clinic, your safety and results are our priority. Clinical Laser treatments trigger a targeted thermal response to eliminate pigment and vascular irregularities. Understanding this process is key to achieving your ultimate skin goals.

DURING & IMMEDIATELY AFTER:
Immediately following your session, it is normal to experience localized heat, redness, and mild “perifollicular edema” (small bumps similar to a heat rash). This is a positive clinical sign that the laser has successfully reached its target. While the heat sensation usually subsides within a few hours, the body is now working to process and eliminate the targeted damage.

Common Temporary Responses:

• Pigmented spots will often turn darker or greyish immediately after treatment. This is normal and indicates the melanin has been successfully shattered.
• Your skin may feel hot or “spicy,” similar to a sunburn, for 2–6 hours post-treatment.
• Between days 3 and 7, treated pigment may rise to the surface and naturally flake off. Do not scrub these away.

MAXIMISING YOUR INVESTMENT & SKIN HEALTH

To enhance your results and support skin healing, we recommend the following:

• Apply Sunscreen Daily: Use SPF 50+ to protect your new skin from UV damage.
• Stay Hydrated: Keep your skin nourished with a quality moisturizer and drink plenty of water.
• Avoid Active Ingredients: Hold off on retinol, AHAs, or other exfoliants for at least 5 days.
• Do Not Pick or Scratch the Skin: Allow your skin to heal naturally for the best outcome.

To protect your skin during the recovery phase, we recommend using the Circadia Post-Peel Balm as your primary barrier support.

Frequently Asked Questions

The sensation is often described as a quick snap of a warm rubber band against the skin. Because our Candela laser features an integrated Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD) that delivers a cooling cryogen spray milliseconds before the laser pulse, discomfort is significantly minimized compared to older technologies.

For sunspots and freckles, many clients see a dramatic improvement in just 1 to 3 sessions. For vascular conditions or overall rejuvenation, a course of 4 to 6 sessions is generally recommended. During your consultation, we will create a bespoke plan based on the depth and type of your pigmentation.

The Alexandrite laser (755nm) is the gold standard for light to medium skin tones. However, the advantage of our Candela technology is that it also includes the Nd:YAG laser (1064nm), allowing us to safely and effectively treat darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick IV-VI) without compromising safety.

Yes! This is known as the "coffee ground effect." The treated pigment rises to the surface and darkens temporarily before naturally flaking off within 5 to 7 days. This is a positive clinical sign that the treatment was successful.

We do not recommend it. Tanned skin (whether from the sun or self-tanners) contains active melanin at the surface, which increases the risk of adverse reactions. It is essential to avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 to 4 weeks prior to your session.

Downtime is minimal. You may experience redness and slight swelling (similar to a heat rash) for a few hours. In the case of spot removal, you will have darkened pigment for a few days, but mineral makeup can be applied as early as the following day.

The Candela laser is excellent for sun damage and age spots. For Melasma, we are extremely cautious, as laser heat can sometimes trigger further inflammation in this specific condition. For Melasma management, we typically recommend our Cosmelan protocol or Sylfirm X sessions.

We recommend avoiding intense exercise, saunas, and hot showers for 24 to 48 hours. The goal is to prevent trapped heat in the skin, which helps minimize irritation and ensures a faster recovery.

While the laser eliminates existing pigment, it cannot prevent your body from producing new spots if you are exposed to the sun without protection. Daily use of SPF 50+ and Circadia maintenance products are vital to keeping your complexion clear and flawless long-term.
